Qigong

The body benefits from movement, and the mind benefits from stillness. - Sakyong Mipham

Qigong (pronounced Chee-gong) is a way to balance the energy of mind, body, emotion and spirit through a beautiful moving meditation practice. This helps to open the energy channels and direct any stuck or stagnant energy through the body, promoting healing and balance to both the physical body and the mind.

Qigong is made up of four key components: breath, movements and postures, meditation and sound.

It focuses on the body as a whole, so while you may come to qigong for a specific purpose, your whole body will benefit from this practice. It provides a proactive approach to creating and maintaining overall good health.

Spring Forest is a simple, but effective form of qigong that can be done by anyone, regardless of age or physical limitations... you can do it standing, sitting or even lying down.

There is no specific equipment or large space required, making it a perfect practice that can be done anywhere.

All classes are taught by Andrea Desjardins, who is a Certified Spring Forest Qigong Practice Group Leader.

See below for opportunities to practice Spring Forest Qigong.
